On this episode of “5 Minutes With,” our host, Daniel Coburn, takes the time to speak with an inspiring entrepreneur doing great work in our community. In this segment, Daniel speaks with Judy Ryan of LifeWork Systems.

Short company description: LifeWork Systems specializes in culture transformation and individual personal and professional development. We improve emotional and social intelligence and leadership in all. We have been in business since 2002, providing a responsibility-based, purpose and values-based model with a foundation of trustworthiness.

What makes your company unique?:
We have a proven, comprehensive, scalable, sustainable systems approach consistent with today’s rapid speed of change, globalization, diversity, technology, complexity and trends towards teal, trauma-informed and agile practices.

A key differentiator is that we have built our systems on a digital platform using best practices from education. Our purpose is to create a world in which all people love their lives. One of our primary visions is to fulfill our purpose in partnership with innovative, like-minded, like-hearted thought leaders and change agents worldwide.

What excites you the most about your industry?: Businesses and individuals are ready for the direction we have built in our systems

What’s your biggest pet peeve?: Many people are beginning to hear about the kind of workplace culture and the kinds of concepts, terms, and tools needed but do not know how to find or create a systemic approach for this. One of my clients who found me in 2015 when he attended a presentation on my book “What’s the Deal With Workplace Culture Change?” met with me just days later and purchased our culture change model. He told me that he continues to hear good talks about culture but each person presenting says, “Too bad there’s not a system to implement this.” He told me, “I want to jump up and say, ‘yes there is.’”

How do you like to spend your free time?: Hiking, visiting with friends to have meaningful conversations and play deck-building and other games, read, watch good movies and shows.
