Why did you choose your industry?Real Estate is the best way to build income for the future. I have always been interested in researching the market and diving in with customers.
Who are your typical clients?Anyone who wants to sell or buy real estate. Homeowners, investors, 2nd home buyers.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Every day is different. Never get bored.
What are common problems you see?For the last several years it is the inventory (and still is). Also, younger buyers don't know about the interest rates of 8-12% some of us experienced.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?"REAL ESTATE CAN NOT BE LOST OR STOLEN, NOR CAN IT BE CARRIED AWAY. PURCHASED WITH COMMON SENSE, PAID FOR IN FULL, AND MANAGED WITH REASONABLE CARE, IT IS ABOUT THE SAFEST INVESTMENT IN THE WORLD." -- FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT
When is your busy season?Year round in North and South Carolina.
What keeps you up at night?People in our industry that do not return calls or follow through.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Internet marketing and direct mail.
How involved are you in the community?Volunteer in the community. President of the HOA in my community.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Tunnels to towers.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Go in full-time. There are no shortcuts in this business.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Gardening.
